Sacha specializes in presenting high school through tertiary level workshops and masterclasses. While drummers can benefit from these sessions quite directly, students of all instrumental backgrounds can come out with a better understanding of the music they play, as well as a plethora of fresh ideas to take home for practice and performance.
Topics can include, but are not limited to the following:

- Jazz styles and history
- Group improvisation
- Afro-Cuban music
- Understanding the song
- Approach to posture and technique
- Instrument setup and care
- Your instrument's role within the song/style
- Metronome use and keeping time
- Soloing and developing your melodic voice
- Multimedia in music education

Workshops are customized to suit the needs of the convener and details & options are discussed prior to finalization of booking.

Sacha currently offers drum kit lessons to private students of all skill levels at The Drum Room, Brisbane.

"Through my years of experience in playing, teaching, studying, and enjoying music, I've developed a systematic approach to drum tuition that is not only fun and easy, but very deep and thorough. I feel it is important for a student to gain a good grasp on all styles of contemporary music, and a basic knowledge of the origins and evolution of the drumkit in order to understand why we drummers play what we play today. Of equal imporatance is the development of your technical facility, which is another cornerstone in my curriculum. More important than anything else is actually getting behind the instrument and playing as much as possible, and as such, I incorporate practical play-along studies into lessons as soon and as often as possible."
